WHEREAS, the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy (CVCJA) was established in 1975 and has served as a pillar of excellence in preparing individuals for careers in law enforcement, jail operations, civil process, court security, and emergency dispatch within the Commonwealth of Virginia; and

WHEREAS, for five decades, CVCJA has provided high-quality training to thousands of men and women who have gone on to distinguished careers in public safety, upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and service to their communities; and

WHEREAS, in 2024 alone, CVCJA trained more than 5,200 personnel in a wide range of critical topics, including patrol operations, investigations, forensics, constitutional law, use of force, leadership, and wellness, demonstrating its commitment to equipping public safety professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the evolving challenges of their duties; and

WHEREAS, the dedicated staff and instructors of CVCJA—certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia and recognized for their expertise—have fostered an environment of continuous learning and innovation, ensuring that public safety personnel remain prepared to protect and serve their communities effectively; and

WHEREAS, the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy has played a vital role in strengthening public safety and supporting the member agencies it serves throughout the region;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Glenn Youngkin, do hereby recognize the 50^TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CENTRAL VIRGINIA CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACADEMY in the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, and I call this observance to the attention of all of our citizens.
